LE FRENCHY-Final BLANC-02

A collective of highly engaged

and innovative winegrowers !

About us

For two decades, we have travelled the world as export directors for large wine companies to build brands and strong relationships with importers and retailers.

Deeply rooted in our French culture and passion for wine but constantly exposed to the New World wine industry, we believe that the French wine industry needs to reinvent itself, inspired by an innovative and modern approach.

We have decided to support talented winemakers who work with respect for the land and the environment, but who are still unknown to the world.

LE FRENCHY - Tasting in the Vineyard

Our mission

We have a strong belief that consumers around the world deserve healthier and more responsible food. That's why we want to give wine lovers around the world access to quality and unique wines that have remained secret.

To do so, we put the consumer at the heart everything we do and listen to their needs and market trends.

We just happen to support talented, responsible and committed winemakers in their export markets footprint.

Our expertise

We want to work with beautiful people who have strong beliefs and produce wine with a personality, in organic agriculture or assimilated and vinified by respecting the fruit (few inputs, low doses of sulphites...).

They are visionaries who innovate in their approach to wine and question codes by creating modern vines, in complete freedom of expression.

On our end, we will make sure to transmit these simple but beautiful values to our partners.

We work closely with real winegrower partners, spending time with them in the cellar or in the vineyards.

Thanks to our network of distributors in more than 60 countries and our knowledge of the global markets, we can support and promote them in a number Ways:

The Estates

carte-le-frenchy Oct 2023

Our range is short, and it will always remain as we wish to commit ourselves in each winery to do a quality work.

Notre portfolio est divisé en deux univers : les Classiques et la Nouvelle Vague.

The Classics

Maison le breton

Maison le Breton

The everyday Grand Cru | Languedoc | 54 ha, B Corp certified.

The Le Breton family acquired this beautiful estate located north of Montpellier, on the foothills of the Pic St Loup some 25 years ago. The history of the estate is linked to Bordeaux and its current grape varieties are obviously Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay. Avant-garde in terms of ESG practices, Maison Le Breton has been BCorp certified since 2022.

You must try the "Vieilles Vignes" red wine. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. We find what makes the success of the beautiful Bordeaux blends but with a touch of Languedoc (the aromas of garrigue and the silkiness of the tannins).

Logo Château Grange Cochard

Château Grange Cochard

This is the Morgon estate that you should keep an eye on! | Beaujolais | 9.5 ha, certified organic from 2023

An authentic estate recently taken over by Jean-Philippe Manchès. A winemaker in love with terroir wines. Château Grange Cochard produces 4 cuvées of Gamay which highlight the variations of Morgon's terroirs. The Gamay and the granite are kings here. The vinification limits the inputs and seeks to reveal the fruit as naturally as possible (total SO2 of about 45mg/L).

The must try is the cuvée "Le plateau". A rich, deep, complex and well-balanced Gamay that will let the aromas of blackcurrant, violet and black pepper explode in your mouth.

Château Saint Martin de la Garrigue

The famous Picpoul de Pinet | Languedoc | 60 ha, HVE certified

The stunning Château St Martin de la Garrigue nestles in the heart of the Picpoul de Pinet terroir. It is probably its most beautiful ambassador! If you like beautiful vineyards and beautiful stones, you must visit the castle. 18 different grape varieties are planted on the property. They will bring complexity to the wines. It produces fresh and complex white wines but also beautiful red wines such as the now renown "Bronzinelle".

You must taste the "Picpoul de Pinet", a fresh single-varietal with a marked acidity. The maturing on lees gives roundness that makes it a great white wine.

Terres de sable

Rosé wine from sandy soils | Camargue | 27 ha, certified organic

The sublime 27-hectare Terres de Sable estate is a true island of Camargue nature. Marshes, umbrella pines, sandbars, constitute an ideal site to preserve this nature and produce wines from Organic Farming. The vine stocks take root in the sand and are rocked by the sea sprays and the Mediterranean sun. Its fully renovated cellar make it a place to produce outstanding quality wines, full of lightness, freshness and fruit.

You must try the “La Sagne” cuvée, produced from Grenache gris. A full, voluptuous and round wine that will be an elegant companion to your summer meals.

The New Wave

Champagne_Mater-et-Filii_Branding_logo-1

Mater & Filii

A grower champagne that proudly showcases the pinot meunier | Champagne | 2.6ha, HVE certified

The name of the estate means “Mother and Son” because it was important for Jérôme (the son) to highlight the work done by his mother. Initially dedicated to producing grapes for major Champagne houses, Mater & Filii quite recently became a producer of its own vintages. Cuvées that highlight its terroir (Marne Valley) and its king grape variety, Pinot Meunier. Cuvées that are relatively low in dosage, clean Champagnes… as we love them so much.

You have to try the "Crescendo" cuvée, a brut with a 7g dosage and a very fine bubble. Notes of citrus fruits, grapefruit and toasted bread. A real treat.

Logo Clos Real

CLOS REAL

A biodynamic rosé wine cultivated on schists soils | PROVENCE | 22ha, certified organic and Biodynamic

A pioneer of organic farming since 1997, certified biodynamic in 2008, agroforestry, horse farming with the greatest respect for nature... the Clos Real estate is a true haven of biodiversity. Its oenologist and winemaker, Renaud Rosari, who gives names of stars to his vats, dedicates all his experience and lets nature guide his actions. The cellar, equipped with Stockinger barrels, egg-shaped concrete tanks, amphoras… offers ideal conditions for lively wines that stand out for the typicity of their schist terroir.

You absolutely must taste the “Clos Réal rosé”, a wine of character that will seduce you with its structured notes of citrus and spices.

Maison Orcia

Maison Orcia

A boutique négociant based in Côte Rôtie | Rhone Valley | 1ha, certified organic, trading on other wines

Maison Orcia is a small Rhône Valley négociant that produces wines without blending the winemakers. Each cuvée is made by a single winemaker. The winegrowers in organic farming are all selected because they produce beautiful, fresh, juicy wines, whatever the terroir. We find the appellations Côtes du Rhône, Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and of course, Côte Rôtie.

You can’t miss the " Cotes du Rhône rouge Bio ", an affordable wine worthy of a wine of the southern Rhône Valley. Dominated by Syrah, this cuvée with notes of spices and white pepper in particular, leaving a range of fresh fruit aromas (blackcurrant, raspberry, etc.) on the palate.

Les Affiches

A collection of talented winegrowers and equally talented graphic designers | All regions of France | Most of the wines are Organic or Biodynamic or Natural

Watch out… this brand hides a real singularity because it puts forward a pool of extremely talented and recognized wine growers by creating with them one or two wines and by labelling them with awesome designs crafted by renowned graphic designers. The wines are vinified and bottled in each estate. The style of the wines always emphasizes the terroir, the finesse, the juiciness, the balance. Wines that are innovative and always respecting their environment.

You must taste the "Patchwork", a light ‘blouge’ (a blend of white and red grapes) that tends towards claret. Co-fermentation of Malbec, Grolleau, Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc made by Coralie and Damien Delecheneau in Anjou in their Château de la Grange Tiphaine. A very fresh wine, zippy, light but with its own character.

BRAU

Brau

The pioneer of organic wines in France | Languedoc | 13ha, certified organic

An estate winery based in the small Cabardès vineyard at the western end of the Languedoc, where the influences of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet. A fresh terroir that allows the production of juicy and aromatic wines juicy and aromatic wines with native grape varieties such as Fer Servadou and Caladoc, or grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot or Mediterranean grape varieties such as Syrah and Grenache. The estate is a pioneer of organic agriculture because it was certified the year the organic label was created (1989). Since 2019, the domain has made its revolution with the arrival of new owners. Be careful, it's not easy. Natural vinification’s are launched, and the labels are very pop and colourful.

You have to taste the cuvée "Fer croisé", a blend of Fer Servadou and Cabernet Sauvignon, vinified in Organic and Nature (11mg total SO2) which highlights notes of black currant, raspberry, iron, spinach. A pretty awesome balance in the mouth.

logo-vignoble-du-rab

Vignoble du RAB

The rising star of Chinon | Loire | 5ha, certified organic

Nicolas and Tydia produce 6 wines on their 5ha of old vines in Chinon. Organic wines, in spontaneous fermentation. The Rab's vineyard produces singular wines with a unique organoleptic style (juicy, complex, fresh and technically flawless) within a beautiful and offbeat graphic universe. It's colourful, we love it.

You must taste the "Chinon Libre", a Cabernet Franc that has had a very long maceration of 7 weeks and maturation in fiberglass vats or old barrels.

LOGO LA CIDÉRÉE - DÉTOURÉ SANS FOND (002)

La Ciderée

The Occitan cidery | Languedoc | 7ha, certified organic

An artisanal cidery located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac created by Ninon Briane in 2022. She left the wine business to plant old rustic varieties of apples trees from Aveyron and Normandy on this famous gravelly soil. The ciders are organic and natural and fosters long alcoholic fermentation (up to 5 or 6 months) using only indigenous yeasts. The natural mousse is made in bottle and with the ancestral method. These ciders are of a great aromatic complexity and a magnificent drinkability.

You must taste the cuvée "La Sansée", a raw cider without sulphite, fresh and fruity but with a touch of wildness that brings a nice aromatic complexity.

Our CSR commitment

planter-des-arbres

It is impossible to ask the wineries to make more and more efforts to work the land as naturally as possible without doing some ourselves on our side.

Here are our commitments:

  1. To travel less by using video-conference meetings instead
  2. Travel only by train in Europe
  3. Offset our global carbon footprint by planting trees.

We use the Good Planet Foundation's calculator to measure our carbon footprint.

We have already planted 824 trees in the little village of St-Jean-de-Fos in January and February 2023. This is equivalent to 28.84 tons of stored CO2.

We plant fruit trees from rustic and ancient varieties, thus naturally more resistant to diseases and less water consuming.
